Dermaplaning is a deep exfoliation of the skin. In a delicate movement Emma uses a sterile scalpel to remove the superficial layer of the skin and unwanted hair from the face, allowing AlumierMD products to penetrate the skin deeper. Any area of the body can be treated although the face and neck area is the most common area.
Emma prepare’s the skin by double cleansing, degreasing with a toner, then applying a balm to allow a gentle slip movement for the sterile scalpel. This deep exfoliation process allows deeper penetration of the AlumierMD products. The products used following the procedure include AlumierMD enzyme peel for additional exfoliation into the epidermis followed by a hydrating leave on moisturise mask with vitamins and hyaluronic acid to plump and hydrate the skin. This mask can be left on overnight, so your skin will be ‘bed ready‘ once leaving the clinic.
The dermaplaning treatment is known for its deep exfoliation and removal of vellus hair (commonly known as ‘Peach Fuzz’). But it can also help reduce pigmentation, reduce fine lines and give the skin a smooth healthy glow!
To complete the treatment the AlumierMD Recovery balm will be applied along with Sunscreen to soothe and protect the skin.
Regular treatments will encourage skin renewal & collagen production; however it is perfect as a one off treatment for the party season or in preparation for a special occasion!
I love smooth skin….Dermaplaning is my treatment of choice!
